I ran my first marathon (L.A. Marathon 3/2/08) for my good friends Julie Brickman and Bob Hoyk. Bob is suffering from P.L.S.
Primary lateral sclerosis (PLS) is a rare neuromuscular disease characterized by progressive muscle weakness in the voluntary
muscles.
There is no cure. In the case of A.L.S. most who get the disease die within 5 years.
Inspired by Bob's fight and by the fight of Jon Blais I will be running races to raise money for AlS and PLS research.
While great strides have been made in the treatment of other diseases, ALS and PLS suffer from a lack of funding. Your donations
will go directly to research.
Thank you.
